Zune in Australia
![]() |
I have been getting a few emails of people asking where they can get a Zune if they are like me and live in Australia. Even though its not out in Aus yet (should be by early to mid 2007) you can purchase one from Mwave.com.au for $379 AU. Depending on what colour, it will take about 3 or so days to arrive at your door step. Although if you want to try and win a Zune for free, Australian magazine, Atomic are having a competition to win one, as well as a bunch of other Microsoft prizes, such as a Xbox 360.

I have a Zune i got it form america cause my cuz lives there it’ like my baby.i have so many ppl coming up to me like what is that it is so kool it is the best thing i have ever gotten
but
one of my stuped friends dropped my handbag down on the floor and cracked the screen.so my baby is back in america again and my cuz is trying to get it fixed it still works but i dont have a screen f she cant get it fixed i am just going to use it without a screen that is now much i love it but i was hoping when it comes out in australia i could get it fixed.
THE ZUNE ROCKS IT’S SO GOOD!!!!!
i for mine for 285 no tax cause my cuz works on a ship america dollars and i didn’t have to pay postage costs cause she came to england when i was there for x-mas so i get a gr8 deal
picked mine up in nebraska on holidays. $199 U.S on special at walmart. love it!! it didn’t love my old laptop though, it would constantly crash and refused to sync. i nearly turned it into a brick on a number of occasions. may have had something to do with the external hard drives i was trying to get it to chat to. my new computer though digs it. i think it will be great when this hits australian shores. there need to be more accessories though available. speaker docks etc that will charge and play and output video. anyways i will keep an eye on things and hopefully the zune will give the ipod a run for its money.
someone please help
I got one and I can not get it to charge.
I have run all of the software into my computer and plugged the thing into a usb and it has a picture of a battery with a power plug in it on the screen ( I can not get anything else)
I am not really tech minded but I figured that I would be ok with this I have xp but do not know where to go.
Any one help?? please email me. I live in the bush and can not get to an it shop easily.

So just checking you guys bought american zunes and are able to run them in aus ok? Are power adapters a prob?
i want a zune but i’m not sure that i can wait for them to be released in aus
I just bought 2 Zune’s, the 8gb 2nd generation units (got them for about $170 AUD each delivered), these units are fantastic, I can sync then wirelessly with each other and wirelessly with my pc, the screen image is very crisp.
I also bought a Belkin armband for about $30 AUD for jogging etc.
I would highly recommend the Zune to anyone!
So, the Zune is going to be released here in early to mid 2007???
Cmon… someone please update this site, or at least remove delete!
SNAP.
I got mine on ebay for 150.00 *(aud) still in case and all wrapped up shiny new. the story goes that the sellers son wanted a IPOD and would only accept an IPOD. I would have just given it to him and said thats it. But I am grateful for the purchase and haven’t looked back. Just waiting for all the other apps to come to australia like market place etc!
Holy mother of God!!!!
It’s a Zune. Why would you? iPod killer? Really? Take your hands out of your pants, wipe away the smears from your bifocals and look again people.
For $175 I could buy myself a few cartoons of Toohey’s New, throw up on a piece of cardboard and carry that around.
You should be ashamed
I’m buying a gen 2 zune 8gb, somewhat like a nano, only sexier -_^
I dont know when I’ll have it yet, payments getting processed by paypal.
It cost me.. $165 ish. AUD.
That’s right.
It seems like it costs heaps, but taking into consideration nano-chromatic 8gbs are $199, I have saved heaps of coinage.
You have to beware on ebay, because some people are just selling the music player.. as is.
Go for the Buy It Now option, because you wont have to anticipate and hope, and realise you got outbidded, by some American kid with US$99 in his pocket.
It would be a little more convenient of Zune officially released in Australia, because accessories for Zunes wouldnt be so limited to find etc.
I bought from a specific seller, who has Buy It Now on all of his Zunes that he sells.
I’m not spamming, lol, I’m just saying to keep your eye on buxhux
He/She’s a good ebayer, for an American.
Well its 2009 and theres no indication that Zune will ever hit our shores.
Yeah it is 2009 and still no Zune in Australia. Nethertheless I got a Halo 3 Zune on ebay and its a sweet piece of hardware. Beats Ipod anyday and believe me I got an Ipod and it screwed up my computer. I am looking forward to the Zune HD. If there still is no indication on Zunes release in Australia, ill just stick with ebay all the way. Besides I’ve had no probs with my Halo 3 Zune.
I’ve got a zune and it works great. I have all the music stored on my home server. My zune account and locale on my PC are set to the US so the marketplace works. I have the zune pass set up with a US credit card so I get unlimited music each month. The one problem I have is streaming the music to my xbox. I have set up all the sharing requirements and the xbox ’sees’ the zune directory but doesn’t show any of the music. Anyone else have this problem or a workaround?
